An attempt has been made to find a broad range of highly experienced practitioners, and a judicious cross-section of experienced and promising scholars of dispute resolution. But the practice and theory-building of dispute resolution encompasses so broad a range of professional, civic and research activity that this document would be incomplete without at least a small selection of people who have an overview, acquired by dual experience in both worlds. The people listed here have a real feel for the difficult business of matching theory and scholarly inquiry with practical considerations.
This is, naturally, a somewhat eclectic group. The common factors are that each has a background that provided a breadth of perspective about the dispute resolution field as a whole; that none fits neatly into any of the other sections; and that they tend to be exceptionally good sources of referral, especially to people working in specialized areas that are not otherwise mentioned here.
